- Okay, let me tell
you guys what I am excited about: Land
of the Dead, Undead,
and Mirrormask.
These flicks are bound to be...interesting, if not fantastic. I'll be
doing interviews for all three of them in June. Keep an eye out and
I'll keep you posted.
- Have you guys
seen Batman? Is it out yet? If you go to www.thehorrorpost.com
you can see my latest reviews and interviews, where you can read
interviews with the cast of Batman. Also, is an interview with Scarlett
Johannson talking about her new flick The
Island. Also, indiefilms, etc. the usual. OH, find out who my horror
hunk of the moment is!
- I'd like to officially
announce that I am producing a documentary about African Americans in
horror films. I can't give you the details of where it's getting done
yet, because it's all hush-hush and super secret and it makes it sound
more important, but Morgan Freeman, Laurence Fishbourne, Ken Foree,
Tony Todd, Nichelle Nichols, Avery Brooks, Darin Scott, and many
more familiar African American faces in horror and scifi films will
be participating. Needless to say, I am looking for african americans
in both horror films and horror literature who are interested in being
interviewed for this documntary, which will air on a major cable network
in 2006. Lisa and Vince, I already asked you guys.... so I've got you
on the list. Anyother takers? Sorry Whitey, you must be African American
to participate as an interviewee.
- Pretty/Scary www.pretty-scary.net
is celebrating Comic Book month for June. We have all kinds of articles
on comic heroes and heroines, Batman Begins interviews,
and other fun stuff, so come by and meet the girls and say hello.
- The 2006 Women
in Horror Calendar is going allright. I really don't have anything else
to say on the matter, except that Tiffany Shepis and Linnea Quigley
are in it.
- the Weekend of
Horrors in Burbank the weekend of June 4-5 was tons of fun. I don't
remember, because I was drunk, but I had fun, I think. I'll be writing
about it on my personal webpage today.
- Look for articles
of mine in the latest Zink Magazine, and in the upcoming issue of Red
Scream www.redscream.com, Femme
Fatales, and Sirens of
Cinema.

Ted V. Mikels::::
Hello to all!!!
This week we will
be shooting the final scenes of "Heart of a Boy".
The editing is now almost complete, with more music and sound effects
to add.
This
movie will be ready for its world premiere by the end of June. The running
time will be right at 90 minutes, ideal for all mediums and markets
that hopefully will include cable TV and foreign viewers.
"Heart
of a Boy" is G-Rated for total family viewing, nothing
offensive to anyone, no swearing, no violence, no chases, only warm
and heart-rending scenes everyone can enjoy. You will love the five-year-old
boy playing "Timmy". The movie has a large cast, and covers
many, many scenes. Ted himself plays "Grandpa Theo", the adopted
Grand-pa of the boy.
