Heidi's Horror Post Newsletter

Heidi Martinuzzi

It was in the bleak December. 2005.

- Shooting is wrapped on Evil Ever After, the new
feature horror film by Brad Paulson (The Van) and
Chris Watson (Zombiegeddon). Just a few more scenes to
go, but I am basically done. It'll be premiering in
March, most likely, and I'll be plugging the shit out
of it when it's done. look for Brinke Stevens, Joe Bob
Briggs, Felissa Rose, and Ford Austin as my costars.

- Which leads me to state that it's now time to start
shooting Dust To Dust, the new Gallows Hill Picture,
with Felissa Rose, Ford Austin, and Debbie Rochon. I
am beginning to realize that I have been in movies
with Felissa, Brinke, and Ford more than any other
actors. hmmm. But have THEY realized it?

- Speaking of Ford Austin, you can check him out at
www.pretty-scary.net where he is the Scary Stud of the
Month.... Rumors abound that January will be Mr. Ryan
"Rotton" Turek from www.horrorchannel.com. You'll just
have to wait and see....

- Spooky Dan has produced a new show called The Secret
Society of the Macabre. This L.A. based show is about
the underground and "dark" scene we've got here. Dan,
the darkest mutherfucker around, did a great job. My
segment is called "Heidi's Hollywood Horror Hottub".
Use your imagination. I sat in a hottub with sexy
ladies of horror Tiffany Shepis, Erika Smith, and
Lilith Stabs. We talked about stuff. It was fun. Don't
you wish YOU were there? well, you weren't.

- Congrats to both Eli Roth (Cabin Fever) on the
premiere of HOSTEL in Los Angeles this month, and also
to Micheal Roesch (House of the Dead II) on the
completion of the Brotherhood of Blood shoot, which
stars Sid Haig and Ken Foree.

- I want to announce that the 2006 Women in
Independent horror calendar is.... Now a 2007
Calendar. yes, we're still doing it. Yes, it will
rock. No, I didn't have time between my men troubles,
book-writing, web siting, and acting to get it done.
Hold your horses. It'll be out this summer.

- Look for a review and interviews for Eli Roth's new
horror film HOSTEL on Film Threat later this week,
plus a piece on the new Uwe Boll film Bloodrayne on
Pennyblood.com . Both films are out the first week of
January, on the 6th. the second issue of Sirens of
Cinema Magazine comes out shortly and you can read an
interview, by me, with Lisa Henson and Stephanie
Leonidas of the recent film Mirrormask. Also, i am
sure I reviewed some new shit and it'll be on my
website. Or Not. I don't remember.

- Though I want to keep many things "Under wraps"
about the Female Horror Film Directors book, one thing
I want to share is a thank you to some of the people
who have offered invaluable advice and assitance so
far: Tony Timpone, Bill George, Roger Corman, Jack
Hill, Chere Aprecino and William Hellfire, Tom Lucas,
Denise Gossett, Ashely Fester, Rachel Belofsky, The HP
Lovecraft Film Festival, Mike Hein, Amanda "By Night"
Reyes, Ron Bonk, and Mike and Amy. Oh jesus, and Chris
Philippo, the most organized writing partner in the
world, of course. Anyway, Thanks, you guys. It's tough
writing a book. It's so much harder than you'd think.
Who knows if it'll even make sense when it's written.
