SEX BY ADVERTISEMENT (1967)
Directed By: Joel M Reed
Film Reviewed by: Adam Trash
This is the first film by Joel Reed. Sex By Advertisement is a sex educational
film of the 60's, but on the hard edge of a knife. A doctor (Georgina
Spelvin) lectures us on the abnormal sexual/fetish practices we are about
to see: bondage, S&M, sex clubs, and peeping toms. Next, we meet the sleazy
directors and talent agents that wait at bus stops for young girls to
make into 'STARS'. An interesting anecdote about Sex By Advertisement
is that when there are any scenes of nude girls there is no music. 'You
can tell that the budget was very low on this one!'
I give it ** out of ****
If you enjoy this film you should look for Joel Reed's second film Career
Bed.
